PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing thermostat is provided to achieve improved productivity and quality and reduce cost by eliminating several manufacturing procedures. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step of assembling each component; a second step of injecting a gas into a temperature sensing tube according to the pressure value corresponding to the off temperature of the desired temperature range; a third step of automatically rotating an off control screw by using a motor, and adjusting the tensile force of a tension spring connected to a push bar coupled to a lever, in such a manner that the push bar pushes a U-spring in a predetermined force; a fourth step allowing the pressure of the injected gas to be raised according to the pressure value corresponding to the maximum temperature of the temperature range desired for on operation, adjusting the spacing between a fixed contact and a moving contact by automatically rotating an on control screw by using the motor, and refilling the temperature sensing tube with a working gas so as to obtain a condition where a pressure is generated at a desired temperature range; a fifth step of caulking and fusing the end of the temperature sensing tube; a sixth step of bonding heads of on control screw and off control screw; a seventh step of attaching stickers to the product; and an eighth step of packing the product.
