The pivoting seat comprises a transverse horizontal bar (8) pivoting in two vertical support planes (9) which are fixed to the floor. Two connecting rods (10) extend perpendicularly from the end (11) of the bar. Each of the bar ends is articulated to a bucket, forming the rigid seat frame. The anti-submarining bar (13) allows retention under the occupant's thigh of the seat part and is connected to the pivoting bar by two longitudinal rods (14) so that the anti-submarining bar is retracted during tipping of the seat.
