The invention relates to the determination of radio channel operability, especially in a mobile radio system, wherein the operational state of the radio channel is determined continuously in time and/or repeatedly and wherein operability of the monitored radio channel is determined by evaluating operational state history. The invention also relates to a corresponding sending and/or receiving station. Non-operating radio channels defined for instance by a time slot-frequency combination (TS/f) are marked.
