DIRT-REMOVABLE WATER-DRAINABLE MAT

A dirt-removable water-drainable mat which is capable of exhibiting both sufficient elasticity and sufficient removal of earth and sand, and of effectively removing the earth and sand from shoe soles and the like, free from undesirable effects such as poor removal of earth, sand and poor drainage of water and inadequate comfort that are due to lack of elasticity, and sufficient to drain water. A dirt-removable water-drainable mat is provided which comprises a plurality of rod-like rigid members disposed in juxtaposed relation to each other; and one or more elastic members bridged between each adjacent pair of said rod-like rigid members from one end to opposite end in a longitudinal direction of the paired rod-like rigid members; spaces defined by said rod-like rigid members and said elastic member(s) forming holes that go through from one surface to another surface of said mat. The elastic members are protrusive at least from a back surface of the mat when the latter is under an unloaded state.
