<p>Hollow metal seeds are provided having a therapeutic agent encapsulated therein, e.g., a nucleic acid or cytokine, that diffuses out of the seeds via one or more holes disposed therein and is thereby delivered to target sites, e.g., tumor cells. These hollow metal seeds can be precisely delivered to target sites, e.g., within a tumor, preferably by use of stereotactic guidance, ultrasound, CT, or MRI.</p> |
