The objective lens has two lens groups (1,3), whose spacing can be altered and is controlled with curve tubes (8,13), which rotate about an optical axis (9) and have control curves (7,12), in which guide pins (6,11) connected to the lens groups engage. The lens groups are secured inside a guide tube (5) fixed to the device and can slide axially but cannot rotate about the optical axis. The lens groups are each assigned to a curve tube, where the curve tubes are concentrically and rotatably arranged about the guide tube with the second curve (13) tube arranged outside the first curve tube (8). The curved tubes are connected by a carrier (14), which ensures that they rotate about the optical axis by the same angle. The first curve tube can be slid axially with respect to the second curve tube and to the guide tube. One of the curve tubes is connected to a rotation drive. The first curve tube is also connected with a linear drive.
