The connection method has a pipe (1) connected to a hose (3) or a second pipe using a compression sleeve (5) acted on in the radial direction by a compession tool (9), with detection of the radial force between the latter and the compression sleeve, for setting the compression tool for a residual displacement path when a given radial force is reached.
