The sprinkler appts. (12), to extinguish fires in tunnels (10) and mining galleries, has a pipe (14) to carry the extinguishing medium under pressure. The pipe is fitted with a number of swing jets (16) which can be aligned at the seat of the fire. The jet (16) is fitted with a thermal sensor and a camera. The cable (18) to carry the current and/or data is within the pressure pipe (14).
