<p>The present invention provides novel polymerization catalysts for polyester production not containing any antimony compound, polyesters produced by using the same, and a process for the production of polyesters. Use of a novel catalyst comprising an aluminum compound and a phosphorus compound in the production of polyesters as polycondensation catalyst gives polyesters applicable to fibers for clothing and industrial materials, various moldings including various films, sheets, bottles and engineering plastics, coating materials, adhesives, and so on.</p> |
