<p>An audio player (10) includes a slot (16) through which a memory card (18) is inserted. An audio file stored in the memory card (18) includes software for decoding audio data. This decoding software is loaded into RAM (22b) by a CPU (20) if software stored in a ROM (22a) fails to decode audio data.
