A method and device for promoting fermentation/composting which lay an air supply pipe in a piping groove formed on a compost bed, and supply air to organic substances on the compost bed from the air supply pipe to thereby promote fermentation, wherein a supply air temperature can be easily controlled, a uniform-temperature air can be supplied from any location in the compost bed regardless of the front end (upstream) side or the rear end (downstream) side of the air supply pipe, a running cost can be reduced with an excellent heat efficiency, and a carbon dioxide exhaust amount will not increase. Conventional problems have been resolved by installing a heat pipe horizontally within an air supply pipe laid in a piping groove formed on a compost bed, by connecting a heat-source fluid transfer pipe, connected with a heat-source fluid transporting means and for transferring a heat-source fluid to activate the heat pipe, to the heat pipe within the air supply pipe, and by supplying a heat-pipe-heated air to organic substances on the compost bed from the air supply pipe. |
