<p>Designs and methods of manufacture are disclosed for a fluid detecting device (10). The fluid detecting device (10) includes a colorant or dye (18) used as the fluid indicator. When the dye (18) comes into contact with the fluid, the reaction between the dye (18) and the fluid is used to evaluate or detect the presence of fluid in the device. The reaction of the dye with the fluid may be detected using visualization, nephelometry, spectrophotometry, infrared detection, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy or other techniques.</p> |
