<p>A bHLH type transcription factor originating in humans and mouse is isolated. Because of being homologous with a transcription factor DEC1 the expression of which is induced by differentiating human cartilage cells with cAMP, the above transcription factor is seemingly a novel transcription factor belonging to the DEC1 subfamily. This transcription factor is also homologous with mouse Stra13 and rat SHARP relating to the differentiation of nerve cells. This transcriptional factor is usable as a tool in developing drugs for diseases in which cell differentiation and proliferation participate.</p> |
