A low pressure swing adsorption process and apparatus for the recovery of carbon dioxide from multi-component gas mixtures, utilizing the simultaneous purge and evacuation of opposite ends of the adsorber(s) to effect controlled depressurization in the absorber bed(s) to maintain the constant purity of a carbon dioxide-enriched product stream recovered from the adsorber inlet(s).
