The present invention relates to a method and arrangement for administration of controled parking with simultaneous protection against ticket forging, according to which pre-paid ticket bears a printed authenticity control code, such as a bar code, which is checked by the person performing the check using an electronic reader and through optical check of the specific information concerning the parking which have been printed onto the ticket during its cancellation in the ticket cancellation unit. Thus, if the optical reader detects that the ticket does not bear a code or bears a wrong code (having been forged) or if the information printed on the ticket by the cancellation unit do not correspond to the actual parking data, a parking offence ticket is automatically issued using the parking offence ticket issuer unit which is supplied with data from the electronic reader and through manual data entry from the person performing the check, using a keyboard. In this manner, legal evidence is provided regarding the issuance of a parking offence ticket as the cancellation time is not debatable as it is electronically printed by the ticket cancellation unit, thus avoiding the case where parking offenders bought tickets after the offence was committed and manually entered information to them, thus challenging the validity of the parking offence ticket. |
