The planning system includes a first planning unit (PTC1)(this is a computer program) which generates a first diagnostic data set (SPC1) for the control unit (SPS) or the operating and/or monitoring unit (OP). A second planning unit (PTC2) converts the first data set into a second, corresponding data set (SPC2) for the operating- and/or monitoring unit (OP) or the control unit (SPS). Preferred features: The first planing unit assigns a first version identification (SV1) to the first diagnosis data set. The second planning unit assigns a second version identification to the second diagnosis data set. This corresponds with the first version identification of the first diagnosis data set. A first diagnosis data set in a control- or operating- and/or monitoring unit, and a second data set in a second operating- and/or monitoring unit or control unit, are loaded into a data interface (DSS) First and second planning units are programs executed by computer. A variant based on the foregoing principles is described. Additional salient features include the comparator for the diagnosis data sets, to check their correspondence. Their version identifications are compared at control unit start up. An alarm is generated if difference is detected in data sets.
