TRANSPORT WHEEL WITH BRAKE FOR TROLLEYS

A transport wheel with a brake for trolleys is designed in such a manner that at least one foot-activated brake and brake-release pedal is to be found within easy reach regardless of the position of the wheel under the trolley. The necessary force and procedure of braking and brake-release is the same for all brake and brake-release pedals. The wheel according to the invention is carried out of a fixing plate (1) under which a fork (2) with the wheel (3) is mounted on a turnable bearing. A brake (4) is mounted in a turnable way on the bearing of the fork (2), the lining (5) of the brake acting on a driving surface (6) of the wheel (3). In the fork (2), a double brake pedal (10) with pedal arms (11) aligned along the wheel (3) sides is mounted as well as a single pedal (20) turned in the opposite direction, which is connected by means of a lever (17) to the double pedal (10) and to the brake (4) as well. Due to their interconnection, both pedals (10 and 20) are acting in the same way
