The present invention relates to a polymer, and a use thereof. In the present invention, provided is a functional polymer which exhibits low solubility in polar and nonpolar solvents while being suitable to form a film. The polymer of the present invention can be applied to various uses. For example, when the polymer is applied to cosmetic products such as mascara or the like, or other pharmaceutical products and the like, the polymer can exhibit resistance against various solvents such as facial sebum, sweat, tear, and the like, thereby maintaining persistence of a makeup and the like. Thus, the polymer can be used as a film forming agent, a cosmetic composition, a cosmetic product, or the like. The polymer of the present invention comprises: a first monomer polymerization unit represented by chemical formula 1; and a second monomer polymerization unit represented by chemical formula 2 or 3. |
