SMART WINDOW USING DUST SENSOR AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a smart window using a dust sensor and a method to control the same, to block fine dust from flowing into a room by activating a bio filter based on a fine dust concentration measured by a fine dust sensor on a conventional smart window. The smart window comprises: a window provided on an opening such as a window frame or an entrance, etc. to block the inside of a structure from the outside; a rail unit fixated onto the top of the window, installed on one side with a driving pulley rotated with a driving unit, and rotationally installed on the other side with a driven pulley connected to the driving pulley by a timing belt, in order to slide the window by a movement of the timing belt as the window is fixated onto a predefined portion of the timing belt; the driving unit to operate the rail unit by a rotary force of the driving motor; a fine dust detecting unit to detect an outdoor fine dust concentration by measuring and receiving an outdoor fine dust concentration data; and a bio filter to block an inflow of the outdoor fine dust on an opened portion of the window, when the detected outdoor fine dust concentration exceeds a predefined level.
