<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost and simple structured optical parametric oscillator and a difference absorption lidar using the same. SOLUTION: This is an optical parametric oscillator 100 comprising an Nd: YAG laser oscillator 111 oscillating laser light 101 for excitation, a resonator 120 with a built-in nonlinear optical crystal 122 to which exciting laser light 101 from the Nd:YAG laser oscillator is made incident and which converts the exciting laser light 101 into idler light 102 and signal light 103 in the wavelength and emits them, and a semiconductor oscillator 131 for oscillating the idler light 102 by making seeding laser light 104 of a prescribed wavelength incident on the resonator 120, and a wavelength range of the exciting laser light 101 oscillated from the Nd:YAG laser oscillator 111 is made to 0.4-0.6 cm-1.</p> |
