摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a pumping loss and to increase a displacement volume by a miller cycle engine, and to enable a smooth start by supplying secondary air to inlet manifolds and recirculation manifolds. SOLUTION: A cylinder head 1 of a water-cooled four-cylinder DOHC three- valve engine has an inlet camshaft 2 comprising intake cams for intake exclusive use and discharge cams for discharge exclusive use. Second and third cylinders 17b, 17c have independent intake ports and discharge ports facing each other, while first and fourth cylinders 17a, 17d have intake ports facing each other. Inlet manifolds 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d whose operation number is changed by a changeover valve 23 interlocking with a control motor 22 are installed. Secondary air supply devices are installed to intersections of the first and fourth inlet manifolds 7a, 7d and recirculation manifolds.
