The device for securing a person, particularly a child in a vehicle comprises at least two fixture units connected to the vehicle near to a seat and a child chair placed on the seat. First and escond (2) connecting parts are provided, the first comprising a casing-type housing (3), preferably with a quadrilateral or rectangular cross-section. The housing next to a free first end (5) on two opposite sides is provided with a recess (7). A tipping body (9) is pivotable around an axis (13) in the housing. An open slot (11) is provided in the tipping body. The tipping body is pretensioned by a spring (17). Near a second end (19) turned away from the first (5) a cross wall (21) is provided in the housing. Between the wall and the tipping body is a sliding operating body (23), which extends with two operating components (25) out of the housing through grooves (27).
