PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pleated underskirt which permits the easy free movements of a wearer, such as standing movements and sitting movements, and can comfortably be worn without giving a feeling of pressure to the wearer. SOLUTION: This pleated underskirt is obtained by forming longitudinally extended pleats G1 to G3 on the main cloth portion 1, supporting the main cloth portion 1 with a main body support portion 2 in the hip girth direction, and attaching underskirt strings to the main body support portion 2. The plural pleats G1 to G3 are formed at approximately symmetrical positions in the hip girth direction, and the main body support portion 2 comprises plurally layered cloths in a sash-like shape. When a wearer wears the pleated underskirt and then moves, for example, from a standing posture to a sitting posture to change the shape of the body portion ranged from the pip portion to the leg portions, the change of the body portion is absorbed with the pleats G1 to G3. Thereby, the wearer can freely and easily carry out the movements of the body, such as standing movements and sitting movements.
