PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control a combustion heater in a heating device for a vehicle. SOLUTION: When an economy switch 24b is closed, a combustion heater 21 is operated with Lo at a minimum (including a stopped state) at an optimum air/fuel ratio, independently of a water temperature. Accordingly, the fuel consumption rate of the combustion heater 21 can be dropped, the amount of exhaust gas containing carbon dioxide can be reduced, and the combustion heater 21 can be properly controlled. Harmful substances contained in exhaust gas from the combustion heater 21 can be reduced while reducing the noise of a heating device for a vehicle with a reduction in combustion sound.
