PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reagent for optical resolution by using an optically active material prepared from tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate as a raw material. SOLUTION: As an optically active isocyanurate, an optically active tris-(epoxyalkyl)-isocyanurate or its derivative or an optically active derivative of a tris-(epoxyalkyl)-isocyanurate is used. Especially photoactive tris-(2,3- epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate or its derivative or an optically active derivative of tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate is used. The photoactive tris-(2,3- epoxypropyl-isocyanurate or its derivative or the optically active derivative of tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate can be used as the filler for a high speed liquid chromatography by being supported on a carrier and an efficient optical resolution can be carried out.
