PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffusion polarizing member which can form a reflection type or semitransmitting type liquid crystal display device with little display irregularity such as coloring in the oblique viewing direction. SOLUTION: The diffusion polarizing member 1 consists of a laminated body 1 of a diffusion layer 11 and a reflection type polarizing plate 12 to separate natural incident light into reflected light and transmitted light composed of polarized light. Coloring of the reflection type polarizing plate and of the diffusion layer in the oblique viewing direction is in the relation of complementary colors. The liquid crystal display device is equipped with the aforementioned diffusion polarizing member. Therefore, coloring by the reflection type polarizing plate in the oblique viewing direction can be compensated by coloring by the diffusion layer in the relation of complementary colors, and as a whole, coloring in the oblique viewing angle can be decreased. |
