CLIENT/SERVER SYSTEM AND IMAGE PROCESSING CONDITION MONITORING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report the processing condition of image processing under execution by a server device to a user on the side of a client device. SOLUTION: When a high resolution image 78 is copied to a high resolution image folder 72 inside an OPI folder 70, a low resolution image 20 is generated in an OPI demon 104. Besides, a log file 80 is generated and corresponding to the generating condition of the low resolution image 20, the file name of the log file 80 is changed as 'XXX.continue' in generation start and under generation, 'XXX.complete' in the case of success end, 'XXX.failed' in the case of fault end and 'XXX.waiting' during a generation wait. With the change of this file name, an icon 122 of the log file 80 to be displayed on a display is changed into icons 122A, 122B, 122C and 122D. Besides, the processing condition for each fine processing stage (start/normal end/fault end) and a cause on the case of fault end are written in the log file 80.
