PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be provided on the upper surface of a body with a control panel, to facilitate operation even in a case this humidifier is situated on a low level, such as a floor and a low table, to prevent deterioration of an electric part on a substrate, and to be decreased in a cost. SOLUTION: The interior of a body 1 is partitioned into upper and lower chambers 2 and 3 by a partition wall 4, a water tank 5 and a steam guide cylinder 6 are contained in the upper chamber 2 and an evaporation pan 8 and a blower 9 are contained in the lower chamber 3. In a so formed humidifier, the corner part of the partition wall 4 is caused to rise upward and a narrow substrate containing part 10 protruding to the upper part of the body 1 is formed at the corner part of the lower chamber 3. By containing a control panel 14, at which a printed wiring substrate 13 is set, in the substrate containing part 10, the control panel 14 is mounted along the upper side wall of the body 1.
