PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video communication terminal that can save power consumption. SOLUTION: The power consumed by a video object coding section 105 is saved by stopping power supply to a video object coding section for an object video image with low priority among video object coding sections 105-1, 105-2, 105-3 of a transmission section 100 in response to the residual capacity of a battery 129 of a video communication terminal. Similarly the power consumed by a video object decoding section 105 is saved by stopping power supply to a video object decoding section for an object video image with low priority among video object decoding sections 114-1, 114-2, 114-3 of a reception section 121 in response to the residual capacity of the battery 129. |
