PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive, small-sized sheet type recording medium which is large in the recordable amount of information and can change recording contents. SOLUTION: The sheet type recording medium 1 of about 20 mm×30 mm in size is provided with a recording layer which is formed of organic pigment and data can be written and read by using laser light. The inside of a recording area 8 of the recording layer is divided into unit recording areas 9 in four columns and five rows. Identification information is previously recorded in the respective unit recording areas 9. The sheet type recording medium 1 is stuck on the surface of a product, etc., by using a sticky layer on its reverse side. Data are written and read by using the unit recording areas 9 in order and when all the unit recording areas 9 are used, the recording medium 1 is replaced with a new one. |
