PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a curable resin having improved impact resistance and refractive index while keeping the physical properties such as colorless transparency of diethylene glycol bisallyl carbonate and useful as a raw material for an optical material having low specific gravity and light weight by including a specific diallyl ester oligomer. SOLUTION: The objective curable resin is composed of one or more kinds of diallyl ester oligomers of formula I [Z1 to Z3 are each a group of formula II or formula III (A is 1,2-phenylene, 2,6-naphthalene or the like); R1 and R2 are each a 2-30C bivalent alcohol residue; (m) and (n) are each 0-100; (g) is 1-100]. The resin is produced preferably by charging (A) a raw material of formula IV, (B) a raw material of formula V and (C) a raw material of formula HO-B-OH (B is a 2-30C organic group derived from a diol) at molar ratios of 0.02<=B/(A+B)<=0.5 and 1.02<=(A+B)/C<=20, reacting in the presence of a transesterification catalyst and distilling out allyl alcohol from the system.
