PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which readily makes a user arouse attention to the display. SOLUTION: During a single piece of music repeat mode, the display of this device is made to be a stream flash display in which the lighting of common display parts flows by making a round trip while heading from one direction to other direction and again heading from the other direction to one direction. In the single piece of music repeat mode, when a movement is applied to the display by successively turning the common display parts 42 on or off, awareness is concentrated (attention is arroused) more easily as compared with when characters are merely lighted up in frequency display parts. That is, since segments are made flicker successively like they flow while making the round trip among segments at the time of the single piece of music repeat mode and flickering segments are successively turned off so that the display is different from that of a normal play mode, the attention with respect to the display becomes aroused more easily. Consequently, since it becomes easily recognized visually that a display device is in the single piece of music repeat mode by viewing moving directions of indications of the common display parts 42, the single piece of music repeat mode becomes distinguished more easily from the normal play mode.
