PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor superior in assembly, highly reliable and less in vibration even at a variable rotating speed. SOLUTION: In a compressor with a compression mechanism and a motor as the driving source thereof arranged in a closed case, the ratio H1/H2 of the height H1 of a stator coil end extending from one end of a stator iron core of the motor to the height H2 of a rotor end face extending from one end of the stator iron core is about 2.7 or lower.
