PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed type battery provided with a current breaking device excellent in battery protecting property. SOLUTION: This square sealed type battery has a fragile layer 4 easily broken by a deformation, and provided on a thermal pressure following layer 3 in a plate shape which is deformed either by heat or temperature. Aconductive layer 5 is formed on the fragile layer. The conductive layer is provided with connection means for input/output current for the sealed battery. A current breaking device 2 is provided on a wall surface of a battery can.
