PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounted piezoelectric oscillator that is configured to enhance a shield effect by covering component groups of a printed circuit board with a shield metallic plate, ensures a required and sufficient joining force through the employment of a stable amount of conductive binders and enhances the mechanical strength of the shield metallic plate. SOLUTION: In the surface mounted piezoelectric oscillator provided with a printed circuit board 11 having an earth pattern and an oscillation circuit pattern, a piezoelectric vibrator 12 mounted on an earth pattern of the printed circuit board and the oscillator circuit pattern, an oscillator circuit component 13 mounted on the other oscillator circuit pattern on the printed circuit board, and a shield metallic plate 14 whose lower side is fixed onto the upper face of the piezoelectric vibrator by using a conductive binder, a plurality of projections 15 are provided to a lower side of the shield metallic plate and the shield metallic plate and a metallic cover of the piezoelectric vibrator are connected by using the conductive binder 20.
