PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas burner capable of improving heating efficiency for combustion gas by raising a mixing ratio of primary air as compared with the prior art. SOLUTION: A gas burner includes a burner body for specifying an internal space, a plurality of burner ports provided in the burner body, a mixing tube connected with the burner body, and a fuel nozzle for injecting fuel gas. The combustion gas from the fuel nozzle is injected toward an inflow port 16 of the mixing tube 14, and primary air sucked into the mixing tube 14 together with the injected fuel gas is fed into the internal space from an outflow port 18 of the mixing tube 14. A throat section 22 with its reduced flow passage cross sectional area is provided in the vicinity of the inflow port of the mixing tube. The flow passage cross sectional area S1, of the throat section 22 and the flow passage cross sectional area S2 of the outflow port 18 of the mixing tube 14 are set to have the following relationship: (1.75×S1)<=S2<=(2.20×S1).
