PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive a check/promissory note in the account and to make it into fund in place of a window by reading the image of a received document, determining transaction information through character recognizing processing and confirming processing by a user and determining a transaction. SOLUTION: When a note or check is inserted to a take-in/return port 12 of a document handling part 7, the check or the like is taken in by a carrier path 20, a magnetic reading part 13 reads MICR characters printed on the check, an image reading part 14 performs reading processing of described contents on the check and a recognizing part executes recognizing processing. When the descriptions on the check or the like are not sufficient, an image reducing the described contents on the check or the like is displayed on a client operating part and guidance words and input items for making a client input the described contents on the check or the like are displayed. The recognized result of described contents on the check in the recognizing part is compared with the input result inputted from the client operating part and when the client confirms these contents, receiving processing of the check or the like is performed. |
