PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire having excellent steering stability and small rolling resistance without degradation in performance as a tire. SOLUTION: A pneumatic radial tire has a carcass extending in a toroid shape between a pair of bead portions as a skeleton, and reinforces a crown portion of the carcass with at least two layers of belt. The belt reinforcing material is formed from a bundle 5 wherein three to six metal filaments are substantially arranged in a line without twisting, and wrapped by one organic fiber 6.
