PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sensor structure requiring no special heating element grasping means in a terminal metal fitting and also simple to assemble. SOLUTION: Pressing parts 23d, 23e having the action for pressing a heating element 3 in the direction crossing the center axial line of the hollow part 2a of an oxygen detection element 2 are formed to a terminal metal fitting 23 and a holding means having the action holding the heating element 3 is formed separately from the terminal metal fitting 23. By this constitution, a special heating element grasping means is not required in the terminal metal fitting 23 and at least a part of the heating element 3 can be brought into contact with the inner wall surface of the hollow part 2a of the oxygen detection element 2 and a jig for preliminarily attaching the heating element 3 to the terminal metal fitting 23 is eliminated to achieve cost reduction. |
