PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash window which enables setting of its heat insulating performance in a multistage manner and easy varying of the heat insulating performance of even an existing sash window. SOLUTION: One sash selected from a general veneer sash 5, a general double sash 6 and a heat insulating double sash 7 is incorporated into one window frame selected from a general window frame 2 and a heat insulating window frame 1, to constitute a sash window. The two kinds of window frames (general window frame 2 and heat insulating window frame 1) and the three kinds of sashes (general veneer sash 5, general double sash 6 and heat insulating double sash 7) are appropriately combined whereby a total of six kinds of sash windows can be constructed. Since the sash windows slightly vary in heat insulating performance, an optimum sash window can be set which matches the area of the site of a building, its environment, the installed position of the window, and the like. |
