PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can give clear patterns on the nonwoven fabric without deterioration of stretchability, air-permeability and fabric hand, when a prescribed pattern is formed on a stretchable nonwoven fabric made from latently crimped fibers. SOLUTION: Fiber web mainly comprising latently crimped fibers is heat- treated with a heat treatment unit at the crimp-developing temperature, and a prescribed pattern is formed on the stretchable nonwoven fabric in which the latently crimped fibers are crimped. In this case, a couple of opposing rolls having a prescribed emboss pattern are arranged after the heat treatment means and the opposing rollers is lowered the temperature thereof than the crimping developing temperature at the heat treatment unit.
