PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically increase the upper limit of a sheet molding speed not generating a flaw in a thermoplastic resin sheet in a static electricity applying casting method. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin is extruded in a sheetlike form from a cap to be closely brought into contact with a cooling drum 3 by a static electricity applying casting method and the sheet 2 is molded while cooled and solidified. At this time, static charge is applied to the sheet 2 by using a tape-shaped electrode 5 and the static charge quantity applied to both end parts of the sheet 2 is made smaller than that applied to the central part of the sheet 2 to produce a thermoplastic resin sheet.
