PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail carrier in which mechanical direct drive of plural dispersed driving wheels is effected, and which reduces the cost and has very high carrying capability, and which decreases energy loss as much as possible. SOLUTION: A driving wheel support 5 which has a transmission and pivotally supports plural driving wheels 4 arranged close to each other is disposed in a pair in front and in rear of an engine 3 fixed to a frame 2 to have the freedom of posture to the frame 2, an input shaft of each driving wheel support 5 is connected to a pair of intermediate rotating shafts 73 pivoted on the frame 2 through a universal joint, an output shaft 32 of the engine 3 is connected to the intermediate rotating shafts 73 by a pair of belt members 71 constructed to form an inverted V-shape, and tension of each belt member 71 is set by utilizing a pressing member 721 pressed to the belt member 71 to slip or roll.
