PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire establishing both of riding comfort performance and handling stability at high level. SOLUTION: A pneumatic radial tire has a carcass extending in a toroid shape between a pair of bead portions as a skeleton, and reinforces a crown portion of the carcass with at least two layers of belt. The belt reinforcing material is formed from a bundle 5a wherein three to eleven metal filaments are placed in a line without twisting, and a line segment connecting the center point of tire shaft direction cross section of each metal filament forming the bundle 5a substantially forms a V-shape or an angle shape to a belt width direction.
