PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet which comprises a plastic or metal and has excellent impact resistance, good usability and a good measure for preventing the scattering of a ceramic. SOLUTION: This impact-resistant helmet is obtained by mounting or fixing hollow moldings 2 having truncated pyramidal outer shapes to the outer surface of the helmet main body 1 comprising a plastic or a metal and then fixing ceramic members to the surfaces of the truncated pyramidal moldings. Therein, the hollow moldings having ceramic members attached thereto or the hollow moldings having the ceramic members attached thereto and a part or all parts of the helmet are covered and fixed to a sheet-like article such as a woven fiber fabric or a nonwoven fiber fabric. The helmet main body 1 preferably comprises a plastic reinforced with highly strong fibers, and the hollow moldings are preferably detachably mounted or fixed to the helmet main body l.
