PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire superior in ridequality performance, durability, and especially belt end separation resist property. SOLUTION: A pneumatic radial tire has a carcass extending in a toroid shape between a pair of bead portions as a skeleton, and reinforces a crown portion of the carcass with at least two layers of belt. The belt reinforcing material is formed from a bundle 5 wherein two to six metal filaments are placed in a line without twisting, and a line segment connecting the center point of tire shaft direction cross section of each metal filament forming the bundle 5 is arranged in a straight line. The bundle 5 is buried in a rubber 6 in such a way that the straight line substantially has an angle to a belt width direction.
