COOLING SYSTEM FOR PERSONAL COMPUTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of signal lines between respective constitutive means and to miniaturize a device concerning a cooling fan control system for a personal computer(PC). SOLUTION: This system has a temperature sensor 1 for measuring a temperature inside the PC, an SM bus controller 3 for previously setting the plural temperatures and register values corresponding to the respective temperatures, reading the measured temperature of the temperature sensor 1 through an SM bus 4 and reporting the register value corresponding to this measured temperature through the SM bus 4 to a FAN rotation speed control IC 6 and the FAN rotation speed control IC 6 for previously setting the plural register values and reference voltage signals corresponding to the respective register values, generating a reference voltage specified by the reference voltage signal corresponding to the register value when this register value is reported from the SM bus controller 3 through the SM bus 4, and supplying this reference voltage as the operating voltage of a cooling fan.
