摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of determining almanac and attitude for a space craft. SOLUTION: An almanac determining subsystem 300 obtains almanac data 308 for one or more reference space crafts. Optical payload pointing information 306 is obtained for optical payload directed for the reference space craft. Almanac 312 of the space craft is calculated based on almanac data and optical payload pointing information 306 by almanac determining algorithm 302. The complicatedness of almanac calculation is reduced by strengthening accuracy using other usable information such as previous measurement and the result in which calculation is stored, time 310, attitude 304 of the space craft, information from a non-payload sensor, and distance measuring information.
