PURPOSE: To bring out excellent merits from each of operating systems(OSs) and to reduce the cost of the systems in the case of sharing a peripheral device connected to a computer by plural OSs in a computer system capable of driving plural different OSs by a single processor. CONSTITUTION: In the computer system having plural OSs 116, 117, an OS context switch 127 for switching execution environments and a common interruption handler 128 for distributing a generated interruption to respective OSs 116, 117, the handler 128 has a means for referring to a priority interruption table for storing an OS to be started in each interruption factor, requesting the switch 127 to switch a current OS to an OS corresponding to an interruption factor and starting the interruption handler 122 or 123.
