PURPOSE: A flat display panel is provided to prevent a cutting effect of a support frame from an edge of a flat display panel such as an LCD. CONSTITUTION: A flat display panel has the first substrate(4) and the second substrate(5). The first substrate(4) and the second substrate(5) are faced to each other. The first support frame(11) supports the first substrate(4). The second support frame supports the second substrate(5). The first support frame(11) is contacted with an end face of the first substrate(4). An interval between an upper end of the second support portion and the first support portion is less than a thickness of the first substrate(4). The first support portion is contacted with a peripheral area of a principal surface of the first substrate(4). The second support portion is projected from the first support portion.
